The shoe that started it all, our classic CVO deck sneaker was created when our founder, Paul Sperry, slipped and fell off his boat while sailing the Long Island Sound in 1935. Later, struck by the way his cocker spaniel was able to grip the deck, even in the slipperiest of conditions, he cut grooves into rubber mimicking a dog’s paw, developing the world’s first anti-slip boat shoe. Fast forward to today, and the BEAMS PLUS NYLON CVO is a versatile statement maker that can be dressed up or down, depending on where the waves take you, and still has the original ANTI-SLIP sole.
